September 13, 2023

Coventry Road from Coventry Road/Fairmount Blvd/Scarborough Rd., intersection to Euclid Heights Blvd., is now closed to southbound traffic and is northbound one way only.

  • Catts Construction is currently working in Phase 3 (Coventry Rd., to Euclid Heights Blvd., southbound lanes).
  • CATTS Construction is currently adjusting various castings, replacing sidewalk, curb, and ADA ramps in Phase 3 .
  • Lakeland Electric continues installing new pedestrian/traffic signaling in Coventry Rd./Fairmount Blvd/Scarborough Road intersections.
  • Lakeland Electric will be performing temporary lane closures throughout the signal installation process at the Coventry Rd/Fairmount Blvd/Scarborough Rd. intersection, as needed.
  • ARL is currently installing new signage near Coventry Rd/Fairmount Blvd/Scarborough Rd., intersection.
  • Some of these signs will be covered due to conflicting with the existing signals at this intersection.
  • Lakeland Electric installed a temporary pedestrian button/signal to the Scarborough and Coventry Rd/Fairmount Blvd. intersection to assist with pedestrian crossing the intersection.

July 5, 2023

  • With major roadway work being completed (Utility adjustments, concrete island installations, median repairs/adjustments) the intersection of Coventry Road/Fairmount Blvd/Scarborough Road is reopened with the old traffic signals reverted to bi-directional traffic phasing.
  • Southbound Coventry Road, south of the Coventry Road/Fairmount Blvd/Scarborough Road intersection is now reopened, along with Colchester Road.
  • The Coventry Road/Fairmount Blvd/Scarborough Road intersection has also been reopened to two lane traffic in all directions except for Northbound Fairmount Blvd to assist motorists navigate either heading northbound Fairmount Blvd or Northbound Coventry Road.
  • Coventry Road from Coventry Road/Fairmount Blvd/Scarborough Road intersection to Euclid Heights Blvd is now closed to southbound traffic and is northbound, one way only.
  • CATTS Construction is currently working in Phase 2 (Coventry Road from Coventry Road/Fairmount Blvd/Scarborough Road intersection to Cedar Road, Northbound lanes).
  • CATTS Construction is currently adjusting various castings, replacing sidewalk, curb, and ADA Ramps in Phase 2.
  • Lakeland Electric continues installing new pedestrian/traffic signaling in Coventry Road/Fairmount Blvd/Scarborough Road intersection.
  • Lakeland Electric will be performing temporary lane closures throughout the signal installation process at the Coventry Road/Fairmount Blvd/Scarborough Road intersection, as needed.
  • Lakeland Electric installed a temporary pedestrian button/signal to the Scarborough and Coventry Road/Fairmount Blvd intersection to assist with pedestrian crossing the intersection.

 

June 2, 2023

  • As part of the maintenance of traffic, the contractor closed Scarborough Rd., Colchester Rd., and southbound Coventry Rd., at Fairmount Blvd/Coventry Rd. Intersection.
  • Contractor placed Fairmount Blvd./Coventry Rd., signaling into a circle loop pattern to keep traffic moving through the intersection during construction and narrowed all lanes through the intersection to one lane in each direction.
  • CATTS Construction is currently working in Phase 1 (Coventry Road Blvd from Fairhill Road to North end of Fairmount Blvd intersection).
  • CATTS Construction is currently adjusting various castings, replacing sidewalk, curb, and ADA Ramps in Phase 1.
  • CATTS Construction is also reconfiguring various bullnose Blvd. and installing new concrete islands in the Fairmount Blvd and Coventry Road intersection.
  • Lakeland Electric has begun installing new pedestrian/traffic signaling in the Fairmount Blvd and Coventry Road intersection.
  • Lakeland Electric installed a temporary pedestrian button/signal to the Scarborough and Coventry Road/Fairmount Blvd intersection to assist with pedestrian crossing the intersection. 

 

May 4, 2023

  • The contractor started construction on 4/24/23 on Coventry Rd., between Fairmount Blvd., to Fairhill Rd.
  • As part of the maintenance of traffic, the contractor closed Scarborough Rd., Colchester Rd., and southbound Coventry Rd., at Fairmount Blvd/Coventry Rd. Intersection.
  • Contractor placed Fairmount Blvd./Coventry Rd., signaling into a circle loop pattern to keep traffic moving through the intersection during construction.
  • Roadway was milled, south of Coventry Rd./Fairmount Blvd., and placed intermediate asphalt for leveling the road.
  • Saw cutting began around various utilities between Fairmount Blvd., and Fairhill Rd. on Coventry Road.
  • The contractor began adjusting various castings/utilities between Fairmount Blvd., and Fairhill Rd., on Coventry Rd.

April 21, 2023

  • Major construction for this project will begin on 4/24/23. This will consist of milling the northbound and southbound lanes of Coventry Rd., and pacing intermediate asphalt, south of  the Coventry Rd., and Fairmount Blvd., intersection and continuing this process north through Coventry Rd., and Fairmount Blvd intersection.
  • The contractor is currently stationing Coventry Rd. and laying out where new island and island adjustments will be going at the Coventry Rd., and Fairmount intersection.
  • Contractor work will continue in this area for several weeks. The contractor then will continue northbound on Coventry towards Euclid Heights Blvd.
