Lead Safe Living

Program established to test and treat all children under age 6 for lead poisoning, remove lead paint from homes, increase the number of lead safe houses in Cuyahoga County, and give resources to homeowners who wan to reduce the lead in their home.

Lead Safe Program

The Cuyahoga County Lead Safe Program enables eligible low-and-moderate income homeowners and renters in targeted suburban areas outside the City of Cleveland to make changes in their homes to provide a lead safe environment for young children.

Licenses (Dog, Vendor, Cigarette)

The General Services Department provides services to new business owners within Cuyahoga County by serving as the issuing agent for Vendors License for the State of Ohio. Cigarette retail licenses are available. Dog License are sold and renewed annually through this department.

Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC)

The Cuyahoga County LEPC provides the following general services to the public, other government agencies and regulated facilities: data processing for annual chemical inventories for an estimated 800 facilities, planning for emergency response to emergency releases of hazardous substances, receipt of emergency notifications when hazardous substance releases occur, providing information about local chemical inventories and emergency releases to the public, and coordination of training and exercises for emergency response.
