The Cuyahoga County Down Payment Assistance Program provides funds for first time homebuyers to purchase a home. These loans are available to income qualified homebuyers for eligible costs including title search, legal fees, and closing costs.

Emergency Rental Assistance

Emergency Rental Assistance Program provides emergency, short term, rental assistance to prevent evictions for Cuyahoga County residents negatively impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Payment will only be made to the Owner, Management Company or other identified entity on the current lease.

Emergency Mortgage Assistance

Provides comprehensive financial counseling and mortgage assistance loans to eligible homeowners, affected by Covid-19, who reside within the Cuyahoga Urban County Community.

Heritage Home Loan Program
Administered by Participating Banks
- Income Eligibility Requirement – None.
- Age of Home Requirement – Yes. Home must be 50 years old or older.
- Eligible Types of home repairs – Electrical, HVAC/Furnace, Plumbing, Roof, kitchen/bath renovation, insulation, window, basement waterproofing, masonry, painting, compatible additions, and finishing attic. Luxury projects/improvements are not eligible, i.e. vinyl siding or vinyl windows, hot tubs, swimming pools, decks, etc.

Lead Safe Program
Administered by Cuyahoga County Board of Health (excludes City of Cleveland)
- Income Eligibility Requirement – Yes.
- Age of Home Requirement – None
- Homeowners or renters with children 5 years of age or younger are eligible for lead contaminated home repairs, including: windows, doors, porches, and exterior house repairs.
